Meet Captain Chris

Captain Chris started fishing for largemouth bass at 5 years old with his dad in Georgia. His love for fishing became stronger when he moved to Florida at 14 and found this new amazing world of saltwater fishing. Growing up in the Tampa Bay area of Florida allowed Captain Chris to pursue his passion for being on the water whether it is fishing, spearfishing, scuba diving, boating, or paddle boarding with his family and friends. With 25 years of experience fishing exclusively in the Gulf of Mexico along Florida’s Nature Coast, (Hernando, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties) Captain Chris of Epic Tails Charters, knows the seasonal patterns of migration and habitats of the fish and so he can put you on the fish you are going to be the most successful a catching at any given time of the year. He specializes in light tackle and inshore fishing. Captain Chris has a passion for fishing and loves to share his knowledge of each species and will make every effort to help you catch that bucket list fish or just have a fun day of fishing.

Captain Chris will make every effort to provide a fun, memorable and safe trip regardless of your fishing experience. Rest assured your safety is a priority. In addition to being a licensed and insured USCG Captain and fishing guide, he is a Deputy, and spent several years on the Sheriff’s Office dive team, and also holds several PADI scuba certifications from open water to rescue diver.
