Welcome aboard! Meet Captain Chris Miller. Growing up along the Florida Gulf Coast sparked my lifelong obsession with the water. This led me to turn my genuine love for fishing into Epic Tails Charters. For me, there is nothing better than casting a line, and my favorite part of the job is sharing that pure excitement and passion with others on every trip. Backed by over 30 years of specialized fishing experience in Pasco and Hernando County. I bring unmatched local expertise, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge of target species to every single excursion. As a licensed USCG Captain and a proud member of my community as a local Deputy Sheriff, I bring professionalism and a commitment to safety. My underwater expertise stems from my time on the Sheriff’s Office dive team and holding multiple advanced PADI scuba certifications, including Rescue Diver.
When you step on board with me at Epic Tails Charters, you’re getting much more than just a boat ride—you’re getting a fun, hands-on masterclass in local fishing and marine conservation! I’m deeply committed to keeping Florida’s waters healthy, which is why I love practicing catch-and-release for favorite gamefish like Snook and Redfish. Letting these fish live to spawn again boosts our marine ecosystem, aids in population recovery, and keeps our fisheries vibrant and balanced for future generations.
